Le souvenir des \u00e9v\u00e9nements qui ramen\u00e8rent la paix en Europe est encore bien pr\u00e9sent : l\u2019\u00e9glise, le mus\u00e9e des troupes a\u00e9roport\u00e9es (Airborne Museum) ou la Batterie d\u2019Azeville sont autant de t\u00e9moins qui rappellent que la paix tient \u00e0 peu de choses. Cela ne doit toutefois pas emp\u00eacher d\u2019admirer les constructions anciennes de la ville, ses lavoirs, ses fontaines, ses manoirs\u2026 ou de savourer les plaisirs de la vie rurale du Cotentin. La nature pr\u00e9serv\u00e9e et travaill\u00e9e donne en abondance et en qualit\u00e9 les fruits de la mer et de la terre.
